Someone just commented on this video I posted on Youtube back in 2006. I just watched it again and realized that besides the fun part of the Nassau County Executive singing a calypso song. There was an excellent summation made for why a living wage is needed everywhere. The County Executive also said that while the figure that a living wage equates to is still basically low—at the time it was $10/hr and 20k a year—it is the least we can do for people in order so that they may simply live.
