Obamacare still not affordable for working poor

This doesn’t apply to people who qualify for Medicaid. This is about Americans who fall into the category of the working poor. They earn to much for Medicaid but not enough to afford quality healthcare.

Why are we penalizing the working poor for not being able to afford Obamacare?

Furthermore, the mandate is not pushing enough people into insurance who don’t have it, particularly among lower waged workers. Studies are finding that at about $40,000 the maximum participation is achieved. Lower income families are simply paying the penalty, because it’s cheaper than the insurance bite.

I say this as an overall supporter of the Affordable Care Act. It’s helping the middle class and those in poverty but if the states don’t expand Medicaid coverage then there is a HUGE gap to fill.
