Today I got an email from Interfaith Worker Justice about the proposed cutbacks to the department of labor. The Trump administration is proposing to cut funding by 2 billion dollars.
One of the programs in the department of labor that will be effected is the Susan Harwood grants program.
Since its inception in 1978, more than 2.1 million working people have completed health and safety trainings under this program. In the past five years, Interfaith Worker Justice and its affiliates have trained thousands of difficult-to-reach and often vulnerable working people on occupational health and safety issues. These trainings have saved lives and prevented serious workplace injuries and illnesses.
If you want to help stop the cutbacks to such an important program, you can take action by clicking on the hyperlink above.
